LUCIFER to Release Debut Single “Anubis” April 7th
“Anubis” 7″ single to be released in North America through Rise Above Records
German quartet LUCIFER are ready to release their debut single “Anubis” to the North American masses on April 7th. Led by ex-frontwoman from THE OATH, Johanna Sadonis, “Anubis” takes us on a trip to the 1970’s hard rock era. This was a period in time well gone but never forgotten, dominated by the likes of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple.
According to the band’s bio, “Lucifer represents the culmination of a spontaneous and intuitive creative mind-meld, wherein their leader’s kaleidoscopic focus collides with the heavy soul abandon of earthbound but astrally-inspired musicians at the top of their game. With songs crafted by Johanna and Cathedral legend Gaz Jennings – the first Lucifer release is a mesmerizing glimpse into the sumptuous depths that await us further down the evolutionary trail.” The band also expects completion of a full-length debut album at some unspecified point in 2015. Meanwhile, the band intends to tour in support of this initial offering. We will post any future tour dates as soon as they become available.
